Sunfire Estate, a tiny but interesting winery that produces one of the extraordinary Tempranillos, as well as pretty decent Cabs and other Reds, sells its Temps for about $45, which takes your breathe away to think of a Temp at that price — until you actually taste it, and then you change your mind very quickly.

Have Sunfire Estate deliver a bottle of its 2005 Sunfire Cabernet Sauvignon to your home, at just $15 a bottle. With rich granite aromas and sweet toasty notes leading to a palate of dried spicy black cherries, it’s no wonder some vendors have already sold out!

2006 Tempranillo, 87 Points, Highly Recommended.
Deep, saturated ruby hue. High-toned, minty aromas have a jammy, plummy undercurrent. A ripe entry leads a full-bodied palate with lean tannins and juicy acidity. A big, fruit-forward style that will work well with pizza and pastas.

2006 Cabernet Sauvignon, 87 Points, Highly Recommended
Deep, saturated ruby hue. Dusty brown spice and black fruit nose. A firm entry leads a drying, full-bodied palate with good grip. Drying tannins mark the finish. A sturdy, structured Cab that will develop over the next several years.
